Shooting in the mountains

The above title seemed appropriate as one of the projects I worked on recently was a short film called Le Bheirt Cheile in the Dublin mountains where I was working with some of the cast and crew from tv series Love/Hate. Produced by Spiral Pictures, it was a drama set in 1916, directed and written by Stephen Daly. The actors Peter Coonan (Fran in Love/Hate) and Gavin Drea (Luke) played the roles of two brothers one an Irish freedom fighter, the other with the English army. The cast and crew shot in sub zero condition with snow and freezing winds. But as you can imagine the final results were amazing and the short will be ready for viewing in the next few months.
